Luminaria
A collection of photographs capturing artificial lights that I took during different nights made me realize that the results are an abstraction of reality in which you can only see the colors of the lights cluttered in a dense black ocean. Joining all these images together resulted to be an image similar to when you see a city at night from the air. A tune of lights that makes you imagine what they might be illuminating or what the place might look like during the day. This project is based on a theatrical representation composed by an installation of different static sculptures, playing two different scenes. The first scene shows a composition of lights at night inside one of the most important characters of the scene. This part gives rise to imagination and to each one to develop their own universe or sensation. The second scene is based on what this night would become during the day, displaying physical characters taking over the space illuminated by our own sun.

«At dawn, the sun focuses on what is really happening on the surface of this world after a long night. Its shining eyes illuminate and concentrate the element called light to provide critique and energy to nature, which gradually learns to dance to the tune of disorder.
Witchcraft provided a spice that got into these characters’ brains through using it frequently, allowing for extensive development of their intelligence and thus the emergence of mechanization and alchemy of natural elements. Because of this, they began to use their knowledge to control the most important element of this world, time. But, like everything, when it does too well tilts the balance and raises evil.»
«The Fortresses display their defensive power against the elements. Through the manipulation of these, this habitat was invented, sometimes called home. A place to create critique and burn it along with the wood that humidifies its chimneys and souls. This can become a hostile terrain where one can pause or rather remove a piece from the creator and destroyer domino.»
«Bright personalities with a certain magnetism towards dangers and miracles magically manage to shape these events to form a path to follow. Being exposed to danger without thinking about it is a way to surf the disorder. Monsters only have the appearance of monsters, but what happens if you ignore that appearance? Information comes from accepting without thinking about the consequences, although there is always a risk in wanting to know. In fear lies the most important element of this vignette, death.»
«The term «nomad» means to move from one place to another without having a fixed residence. Even though the characters are sedentary, which is an opposite concept, they are travelers of day-to-day experiences, of the night, of the universe. The space specialist is a character who compresses as many homes as possible in the same place to make the most of the land. Each time this specialist is more inflated, more sought after, and due to this more valued in the market. Their teeth are getting tighter.»
